The Swiss Water ® Decaffeination process is an ecologically-friendly, 100% chemical-free process that uses simple science to remove caffeine from green coffee beans while maintaining the beans natural flavour characteristics.The Swiss Water ® Process uses pure mountain water from the coastal ranges of British Columbia to gently remove the caffeine until the coffee beans are 99.9% caffeine-free, while maintaining the bean’s distinctive origin and flavour characteristics. 

In the past, Mountain Water Decaf has been the first choice of many roasters for its unsurpassed quality. But over the past 4 or 5 years Swiss Water ® has implemented many improvements to their processes in Vancouver and improved quality in turn. The proof is in the cup and we’ve cupped it many times to be sure!

By reducing and maintaining processing temperatures while shortening processing times, Swiss Water ® is able to retain more of the organic acids and sucrose that occur naturally in the coffee bean and as a result, keep more flavours in your cup! You will certainly notice these process improvements lead to a less oily and more mottled appearance in the roasted beans.
