This Honduran coffee is roasted medium with tropical & citrus fruit flavours.
It is balanced with a sweet caramel finish. The Marcala region has a history of exporting
quality coffee and has created an appellation of origin to control and market its
coffees. This direction follows the example of the wine industry
appellations (think Champagne or Cote d’Or in France), which offer consumers value
through regulated and consistent quality and transparency. The producers of these
beans are from the COMSA co-op, which represents many indigenous Lenca small farmers of Marcala.
