Certified Organic Fairly Traded Teas – Sri Lanka

Our tea is grown and processed at the Idulgashinna Tea Garden in Sri Lanka (Ceylon), the world's first certified organic tea garden, producing both premium quality black and green teas. Idulgashinna is located in the Uva region and its elevation extends from 1000 to 1900 metres. Having a guaranteed fair price for their harvest allows growers to afford healthcare, education for their children, better housing, and farm improvements. Indulgashinna has been an inspiring model of how tea can be produced and traded in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.

Certified Organic Rooibos (ROY-BOSS) Teas – South Africa

(100% Caffeine free)

Unique to South Africa, Rooibos looks like regular tea but will not get bitter if you over-steep it. It has no caffeine and more antioxidant value than green tea.

Our Rooibos or red bush tea comes from the Wupperthal cooperative of some 150 small producers in the Cedarberg mountains of South Africa. They are supervisors – 250 years of colonialism, a century of slavery and decades of apartheid. They were give the worst lands in the most remote areas, but ironically these very lands now produce the very best quality Rooibos.

For Wupperthal community, rooibos tea is an ancient health tonic they drink from early childhood. They are proud and happy to share it with the rest of the world With Fair Trade, they are getting twice the price they were before and the future looks bright.
